Each of my photos on the following pages has won either First Place or Honorable Mention in the Baltimore Sunpapers weekly "SunShots" Photo Contest.  A different theme is provided each week, and contestants submit as many relevant photos as desired to the online site.  The Director of Photography for the Sunpapers selects  first- and second-place winners, and those photographs, along with the photographer's name and some information about the photo and the camera used, are printed each week in the newspaper, and are also shown online.  While there is no monetary award for having a photo selected, winning photographers do receive publicity for their photos, as well as a critique of the photo by the Director of Photography.  Each week's submissions are always outstanding, so it is an honor to have a photo selected for publication.

Hopefully, after enjoying these photos, you will be inspired to use your camera to capture some special images and submit some of your photos to contests, as well.  You never know...you might be a winner, too!
