My grandson has proven to be an ideal subject for some of my photos. The main reason I took this photo was to get an example of a silhouette that was needed for a photography class I was teaching. The lighting was perfect! His hands, resting on the edges of the keys, give a feeling of anticipation to those looking at the photo.

This photo was chosen the "favorite" in the photo contest because it best illustrated what the Director of Photography was looking for: an image that he thought "might be considered a significant 2011 memory by the photographer or subject." Indeed, he was correct!
